You have decided to attempt homemade marzipan. Marzipan can be documented in England in the late 15th century*, which makes it a little later than the cheesecake recipe you are using, but as cheesecake has continued to be made up to the modern day you believe the combination is compatible.

You find a simple recipe based on period sources. You just need to figure out a way to dye it red.
