Most of the France updates were fixes to broken links, but there is a bit of new content.
A couple sources that were in black and white are now in colour, which makes them much more useful:
- Recueil de blasons, 16th C French (Lille, Bibliothèque municipale, 506 (429))

- Recueil (Traité du blason des armes ; etc.), 16th C French (Lille, Bibliothèque municipale, 498 (735))

Two new armorials have been added. The first adds to our sources of Breton armory:
- Recueil des escus et armoiries d’aulcuns princes et seigneurs, tant du royaulme de France que estrangers, et particulièrement du païs et duché de Bretagne, 16th C French (Paris, BnF, ms. Français 32475)

The second has many interesting examples of marital arms, using a mix of impaling and dimidiating:
- Armorial Herbelin, mid-16th C French (Dreux, Musée d’art et d’histoire, inv. 952.1.1)

We’ve also lost two armorials:
- Statuts et armoiries des chevaliers de la Table Ronde de Bourges, c. 1486-1533 French (London, British Library, Harley MS 5301)
- Les Nobles demoiseaus bourgeois de Vallenchenes, after 1550 French (Municipal Library of Valenciennes, Ms 1201)
I’ll keep an eye out for them and add them back if they turn up somewhere new, but for now that keeps the total of French sources level at 101.
England addendum
And while looking for French sources, I found a new English source, which has been added to the relevant page:
- Armoriale Ordinis Garterii, 1594 English (Paris, BnF, ms. Latin 11109)

I’m trying to make this site self-sustaining. If you’ve found it useful at all, and have a little bit to spare, there’s a donate button to the right.
